Well seeing how a lot of 1080p monitors are still in that price range, your outlook is unrealistic

$100-150 is when I'll buy a 4K monitor.

Well there is a good 4k ips 60hz monitor by LG for under 300$(it is 24inch thought), so if you bought it used you could probably get it for 150 if you haggled a bit.

I only see your reply if you @ me.

You know what the most aggrivating thing about this is?

Its that an 8k 88" OLED TV, like the one LG has shown off, means they can make ~44" 4k OLED if they so wished since it has the same PPI, its effectivly 1/4 of that 88" 8k panel.

That would be awesome. Granted i would prefer a 40" model, but a 44" 4k OLED is close enough that i would buy one.

As for the other 8k screens around that size like Samsungs, they are LCD, and thats not impressive considering they already build 4k LCDs around 42", the same PPI. They havnt pushed up the PPI, they have just made a larger panel at the same PPI. Whats worse is they have all this marketing BS that make it sound like some grand thing. if they had come out with 42", 55", and 65" 8k screens THEN its worth touting, but at 88 inches, its nothing special.
