Hyper T4

So i want to remove the stock intel cooler from my i3 6100 but i dont know if a hyper t4 will fit in my cougar spike can anyone help with the dimensions

It will fit. The t4 is 153mm tall and the case supports one that's 160mm

Yes it fits but why? The stock cooler should be plenty already.

i get close to 50 degrees idle even though i changed thermal paste thats why i want to change the stock intel one

Are you sure there aren't any apps running in the background when testing for idle temps?

What are your load temps?

under load ive seen max of 69-72 while running a game like cs go or blade and soul

Those are good temps and there's no need to replace your cooler. You're fine up to 80-90c at load.
