Driver issues?

So I'm running an Nvidia GTX 1080 on a Windows 10 machine. I usually don't turn the machine completely off, I just let it sleep until whenever I'm ready to use it for whatever. This has never been a problem before, although it would occasionally wake itself up momentarily (idk exactly why, updates maybe?) but then go right back to sleep. Well recently it's been waking itself up and immediately showing the blue screen of death. The error message is SYSTEM THREAD EXCEPTION NOT HANDLED nvlddmkm.sys. I've looked up solutions to this problem and discerned that it's a graphics driver issue. Many of the solutions were to completely uninstall the drivers and reinstall the newest ones. Since I'm not very good with computers, I decided to just roll back the driver to a previous version. That seems to have taken care of the bsod issue, but my computer still wakes itself up from sleep more frequently than it used to, and although I don't get bsod anymore, it goes right to the windows login screen. Like I said, this used to happen only occasionally, but for some reason or another is happening a lot more often now. Does anyone have any ideas about what might be going on? I guess it's not a serious issue, but I'm just curious.
