Previous News threads:

Spoiler

What to expect:

  • RTX in Geforce; GTX still for 2060 and below
  • RTX 2080. Maybe: 2070, 2080ti?
  • 2944 CUDA processors (2080) / 4352 CUDA Processors (2080ti)
  • 8GB GDDR6 (2080) / 11GB GDDR6 (2080ti)
  • Tensor Core count: 368 (2080) / 544 (2080ti)
    (⬆⬆ OP's Guess)
  • Butt-ugly FE card
  • 2080 SRP rumors: $1000 USD, or somewhere near current 1080(ti) prices
  • NVLink-based SLI bridge?
  • A lot of arguments afterwards

Am I hyped? Yeah. Am I going to buy one as soon as it releases? well...

Quote

So I can either secondhand my current 1060 to attempt to cover half the cost for the 2070, and do it one more time for the 2170

Or skip a gen and get the 2170 upfront without secondhanding

... but Nvidia's update cycle is about 2 years....

🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔

Inside some old case I found lying around.

So excited!

Currently have a Zotac Amp 1080 TI with a Ryzen 5 1600.

Nothing fancy but it does well for 4k gaming.

I'd also make the joke "Why can't we just pay full retail price" but...... Why can't we just pay full retail price!
