i5-8400 + GTX 1080 Ti for my 1080p 144Hz monitor?

I want to get the most fps while sacrifice as less image quality as possible. 

 

Should I buy a 1080 Ti(RTX 2070/80) or get some lower end cards?

Which card from Turing to be specific? I guess RTX 2070

I think you should wait and get the RTX 2080 or 2070 instead since they are just a couple of days away.

High refresh rate at 1080p is more CPU depended than GPU wise.... might want to consider overclocking the i5 8600k or going i7 8700 + b360 instead for the higher frequency and don't cheap on RAM either or else it can become a bottleneck of its own... if you go b360 get the appropriated 2666mhz kit, if you go overclocking then a 3200mhz kit is welcome if you want the trouble free overclocking experience.
