Pc locking up

The last week or so my PC will lock up while gaming, it doesn't seem to matter which game I player. I cant find any faults in my software, and everything is up to date. No overheating either. 
What usually happens is the everything im doing will freeze but sound will play and i can move my mouse then a minute later the sound goes out and then another minutes goes by and all the RGB on my PC goes default colors, RAM, Fans, Light strips, the motherboard. I can't for the life of me determine what the issue is it's not even a very old PC.
Ryzen 5 1600

gtx 1080
16 GB TRIDENT RGB
I use both SSDs and a high capacity HDD
