My low space

So I'm running low on space and i was thinking of grabbing a 1tb hd but  a 4 tb hd would have me safe for a long time

what storage do you have and what will you use it for?

i h ave a 240 gb ssd (full) 1tb hd 10gb left and it will be used to hold games videos ect.

online games: SSD (getting in there fast is an advantage)

other stuff: 2-4TB HDD, speed matters less otherwise, also lower $ per TB compared to 1TB HDD

Get a 4tb hdd, they are faster than 1tb ones, and also the price has come down so far that they are real cheap.

yeah but  could also get a 1tb ssd should i get a 4tb hd and then get the ssd later down the line

An 1tb ssd is many times more expensive than a 4tb hdd. Also for your use case i dont see the point on the ssd.

Get a SSD if you think you will be doing loads of high demanding disk work (video editing etc). Get the 4tb hard drive if you think you're only going to store photos games blah blah.
