My friend is looking for some recommendations.

Cyberspirit

Hey, my friend is looking to build his first PC and could use some help picking the parts.

  • Budget and Location: He wants to spend 300.000Ft (HUF) for the PC and a monitor and he is buying in Hungary.

(300.000Ft HUF is about $1053 and 928 Euro) He might be willing to save up for an extra month and spend like 60-80.000Ft more on the machine.

                                                                                                                                                                                                       ($210-281 and 185-247 Euro)

  • Use case: Mainly gaming. He isn't concerned about Ultra quality but, he'd like to get at least 60-100 FPS on High settings.

  • Monitor: He will need a new 1080p monitor which will probably cost around 50-60.000Ft (HUF) or $175-210 and 154-185 Euro.

Let me know if there's anything else you'd like to know.

Ps.: Here's a Hungarian site for price-checking.

Is the monitor in the budged? Btw he should take a look at 144hz monitors under 200 dollar/euro. Just get a decent cpu and a 1060/580 gpu in there, go medium/high settings and BAM. Ultra smoothness. I think a rx 580 is perfect for that budged. Why not the 1060? Freesync. If he buys a monitor with freesync and has a amd gpu he can make use of the freesync. Freesync is basically keeping screentearing away. Aka smoothness

Yeah, the monitor is in the budget but, he said that he is more than happy with a 1080p monitor. (He is currently using an old CRT one)

As for the GPU, he was looking at a 1060 but, he might be able to get a GTX 1070 if the prices drop a little.

welp if he goes 1060. go rx 580. exactly the same as a 1060. the only difference is the manufacturer and the fps in games. the one is better in the other goes for both. and go for a freesync monitor.
