Laptop is hitting 85c

My asus gu501gm with a i7-8750h and a gtx1060 is getting between 80-85 degrees while gaming in both gpu and cpu, are this temperatures too high and if thats the case how can i get lower tempts

Those temps are fine for a laptop. They can handle the heat. Is there a problem those temps are causing?  There really sin't much you can do.

Take it apart and use better thermal paste or consider liquid metal. This is a more riskier approach but can deliver great temps.

There is no problem is just my first time with a gaming laptop, im used to having  lower temps in a desktop pc

Sounds normal. You can always undervolt CPU+GPU and consider doing a repaste
