HTC One M7 won't register with Windows over USB

Recommended Posts

I'm just trying to sync my music library, but Windows won't register that my phone is connected. The phone charges though.

Any idea what I should do?

Maybe this will help

The MTP notification isn't displaying at the notification bar. Seems like the phone isn't registering Windows as well as Windows not registering the phone.

Did you try changing the configuration on the phone?

Also, is this the first time you tried connecting this phone to your computer?

I can't change the configuration. The only way it lets you is through the notification bar, and the notification isn't there.

No it's not the first time. This isn't the first time this has happened. It's really fickle

Change it from your phones settings

This is what I found, don't know if it will work or not.

When my phone had this issue, I enabled MTP in the developer options and it worked, but I don't have the same phone you do

EDIT: Read every reply on that site before attempting anything

You're welcome.

If your computer has bluetooth then maybe that'll work too
