I will be starting uni soon and need some recommendations of notebooks, my priorities are keyboard tying feel and battery life. Would like the price to be below 9000HKD (1100USD). Would like to have a discrete GPU for acceleration in certain apps and very light gaming like CS GO.

There are a few uni laptop offers which one is good or should i just consider something else.

These are literally all the same. I'd go for the Lenovo though, as it has more SSD space. MX150 is shit though iirc and 8550U is imho too overpowered for a small laptop.

also i have heard that the keyboard on the lenovo's are more durable and have a Water draining system so if water ( or any other  liquid ) is spilled it will fall through the laptop without damaging it.

The  Huawei Matebook X Pro is what fits your needs.

Anyway, you don't need anything powerful for engineering studies. The bachelor is mostly comprised of pen and paper only anyway.
Even if you specialize yourself in computing science, the programs used aren't very demanding. The only one I can think of is Android Studio, and I had to only use it once.

For college, a decent Desktop in your dorm and a little notebook with Ubuntu or Dualboot is enough.

battery life

3 options above don't have good battery life

Any other laptops with MX150? FYI, 8250U and 8550U don't have much performance difference. Also, MX150 has 2 variants - 10W and 25W

Is the ASUS ZenBook 13 UX331UN good, has an i5-8250U and 8GB RAM and 256GB SATA3 M.2 SSD and MX150 for 8500HKD (1080USD)

I would also like to ask is there much difference in 13.3" and 14"

UX331UN is better, however don't expect good thermals in 13 inch laptop with dGPU. Also soldered RAM and OKish keyboard.

If you want good keyboard, Thinkpad (but much pricier)

13.3 and 14 inch don't have much difference for me

a 14" usually means a bigger screen in a 13,3" body so, could be thinner bezels
