What about overclocking the flash memory?

Well you can "overclock" flash memory.  U can change read/write latencies and sometimes even nand interface clock.

Or force the drive to work in pseudo SLC mode..

There is lots of options, it just comes down to what controller device is using.

Its a really bad idea to run OS from a flash drive. Unless thats not what u meant..

It's the installer, obviously better in this drive than a DVD...

I think I still have a few 128mb drives in my drawer lol. For everyday work I roll with a company issue 2gb we have a whole box so I have a load of them all for nothing. so 8gb is not bad its still a very usable size.

I just got a 8gb stick with usb 2.0 and micro usb at the other end :P
