Hello everyone, I am planning to build my first game/work pc at the end of August(preferably). My mom is giving me and extra 150 USD, where should I put that money?

I'm using a 34inch 1440p ultrawide to game and do some video editing

Thanks everyone

The clock gains (200MhZ or so) aren't worth it to go back down to a 1070

I wouldn't use a single HDD these days.  Always RAID-1 (or RAID-10) HDDs.   Which means you'd need a pair.  HGST > *.

@OrbitalBuzzsaw is the 1700 much better than the newer 2600? and If I choose to go with the 1700, do I still need a b450 board or is b350 okay?

The 1700 has more cores and is better for video editing, and about the same for gaming. You'll be fine with a B350 if you decide to go with a 2600
