How good is the Asus (Vivobook) OEM thermal paste?

I have a ASUS VivoBook 14 X411U (i5-8250U, Nvidia mx150) which running at 82-88 °C while i play Battlefield 4. If i will change the OEM thermal compound to Artic Mx-4 there will be any noticeable change in the temperature?

Btw, which is the best value thermal compound on the market?

firstly your temps are fine.

on changing the thermal compound, it depends. if the laptop is under 2 years old the thermal compound will probably be fine and replacing it will only get you a couple of degrees. if the laptop has started showing higher temps than when it was new it may be time to replace it and clean out the fan/heatsink.

there is very little separating thermal compounds these days, but if you want a recommendation i'd suggest Noctua NT-H1.

Dry out quickly due to low heatsink mounting pressure in laptops

Regarding my Laptop I use only K5 PRO. You can check youtube for some very helpful tutorials about K5 PRO (for example a video with name How to replace thermal pads using K5) but in my laptop this is the ideal thermal paste.

K5 pro is designed as a thermal pad replacement, and it is a very good one too. It is not supposed to be used as a thermal paste.

IC diamond is the only product I've tested in more than one laptop that genuinely lasts more than a year. There are others, but I haven't used them.
