Cleaning gpu problem !

I can't get the old thermal paste away please help ! 

 

I tried alchol even that didn't do something

Scrape it with a knife blade maybe?

Try using a sponge and just scrubbing hard.

That would scratch the heatsink. Yes, thermal paste would fill in the gaps, but still.

I’d just soak it in alcohol if it is really caked on that bad. Then apply some nice elbow grease

Maybe, but if you're half careful with a nice xacto blade or something, you should be able to get a good amount off without damage.

Try both.

Just use alcohol and an old credit card or something. If it is being stubborn just make sure to do it more vigorously. The heat from the friction should start to make it come off.

Never thought of that! Credit card would definitely be a good, non harming scraper!

No, because it's some kind of fabric or something rubbing some metal. So no, it shouldn't scratch it (unless you use steel wool, which wouldn't work well).

I used the soaking and sponge + ruler came off pretty ez
