long time a go i used to go outdoors really really alot and i took a really dark tan 

is it possible to get rid of it now ?

If it's only a part of your skin, you can try chemical peels using alpha-hydroxy acids like a facial or a cream with a dermatologist or aesthetician . If it's the entire body, I have some things in mind but I highly recommend you go to a board-certified dermatologist as those people know the skin inside out.
