Fixing macbook pro heatsink 2.4mm T5 stripped screws

jpnadas

Hi,

I want to reapply thermal compound on my 15" MacBook Pro retina mid-2012 but 2 of the heatsink 2.4mm T5 screws are stripped.

I have found some solutions online on how to remove it, but my problem is where to buy replacements for a reasonable price (I could only find $20 sets on ebay.com).

Does anyone know of a place where I could buy the 2 screws I need in the Glasgow, Scotland, at a reasonable price? Or perhaps a website I could order it from.

cheers!

problem is that they are such special screws, you might not find them for cheap. maybe try and find one with a different head instead, for example philips head
