Betterhelp Potential Sponsor - Looking for Feedback

CPotter

Hey,

Have any of you guys ever used the online service Betterhelp? It's a "private, affordable online counseling" tool. They reached out to us to potentially sponsor one of our shows, but we're not familiar with the service and wanted to get feedback here before exploring it further.

Never used them, but I've found nothing but a possible holding back (timing seems a little too convenient, unless some hidden agreement prevented them from doing this) from paying out 15% to the original owners in boost of clients this could give them...

Beyond that who needs their service when you have forums xD

Do you have a link where we could find more info about that?

https://www.sec.gov/Archives/edgar/data/1477449/000104746915005109/a2224910zs-1.htm (searching the 15% it should be the 4th/5th result)

Basically they keep the acquired company from booming/thriving (if possible w/o destroying the company) or by not investing in it exponentially till the old owners payout period has lapsed. After rereading my post I might have made it possibly sounds like they didn't pay them at all... Which isn't the case, they simply seem to be investing in the company now that the original owners 15% has been cut off.

To me it's a shady practice (and a bad one in a business sense) if it's being done but it happens with situations where there is a limited payout window after a buyout. It doesn't mean the actual company you're asking about is bad, it just means the new parent company didn't want to pay out for addition income that could be caused by increasing advertising/effort beyond the normal rate.

So while idk if this is what they are doing or not, but the timelines are just too close to me.

Edit: I originally found the info via wikipedia and this site, it's really annoying when people don't source proper documentations...
