Ram speed?

I just bought 1600mhz ddr3 ram. Will this work in my 1333mhz ram supported motherboard? I read somewhere that it may work but I need a second opinion.

it should work, ive got 2133MHz ram but my cpu only supports 1600MHz, i'd assume its the same story for you
