Mounting a 43" screen

Hi guys,

 

I am looking at buying 2 more 43" screens to make a 3m screen wall for gaming, the only issue is that I need to find a suitable way to mount these large things (Philips Brilliance BDM4350UC 43" 4K UHD IPS LED Monitor).

 

Looking at mounting arms, they indicate what screens are suitable for use, currently looking at something like https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00MIBN16O/ref=psdc_10967501_t1_B016M1LYA0 for example. This is recommended for screens 32" or smaller however it will hold the weight of the monitor. I will need to purchase 200mm adaptors to make these work. Would this type of mount hold a 43" screen?

 

Does anybody have any experience with this type of issue and if they have any good recommendations?

I tried looking for something suitable but I could only find wall mount tv mounts. I would have to make some custom stands to mount them and then need to weigh them down. My setup has a window behind it so wall mounting is out.

I've been tackling this very issue. The arm I was looking at also has a 30 pound weight limit,  and a 27 inch size limit. I think as long as the TV is balanced correctly it shouldn't matter. The farther away mass is from a pivit point ( in this case the mount ) the more of an impact it has. So although on paper the arm could hold a large tv it could have issues because of this. Even if the arm supports the tv, I am also worried about the torq from the arm destroying the desk I want to use. I have an Ikea desk which is litterally cardboard so I'm probably going to reinforce it with some plywood as well. The vesa mount shouldn't be an issue as adapters exist.
