Help with cooler master hyper Evo 212

So I was recently told that my cooler was in the wrong orientation and have attempted to change it but to find it doesn't fit the way it's supposed to be please help, current build is 1600x , Asus prime x370 Am4 and 8gb or Corsair dominator 3000mhz ram

Mate that's what we tried the holes don't match the ones on the mobo

Its fine, don't worry about it. What you should do is move fan from rear to top. You can also move your GPU to top slot, it should fit fine and you won't see any major change in temps.

CPU cooler is fine. You can and should move your blue exhaust fan to the ceiling.
