wd green ssd performance

goto10

yesterday i bought a cheap ssd western digital, this model WDS120G2G0A  https://www.wdc.com/products/internal-ssd/wd-green-ssd.html

it works well enough but i ran cristaldiskmark and found weird slow write values, so installed wd suite, updated firmware and got nice improvements, but some values remain low

Yeah, the new version is apparantly a lot worse then the old one. Source:

i was getting worse numbers than those in userbenchmark, so i updated firmware and got inpressive improvements, but yes, i see so many different results on so many sites, only explanation is changes between models, different chipset and different nand modules

i was sure this was only done by kingston but it seems every company does it now

in general the ssd is great, so i don't have much to complain about, but got me curious, someone was getting 150 in both read and write, surely different model and older firmware didn't helped there

thank you for the replies
