i think ive decided to just go for the high quality thermal paste and call it a day there should still make some differance.

Thanks for your help anyway

Hey,

wondered if anyone here had put liquid metal in their laptop before?

is it really worth the £26 for the liquid metal and the conformal coating

my big worry is also since it is a liquid and not a paste that the liquid will eventually drip or shift out of the heatsync especially since its a laptop and i regually carry it in my backpack in the vertical posission i just thought that maybe it would save the fans and the system as a whole as I find for my work load can spin the fans to very close to the max threshhold of 100 degrees

I lurk a lot

i wouldnt personally add liquid metal in a laptop too. Too dangereous. Just add good thermal paste, should still be 10c difference.

LM is great but should only be used if:

- you don't care or don't have warrenty

- want the absolute best temperatures, lowest noise and max clock speeds

Kyronaut is among the best regular thermal paste and will already give you better temps.
