How to fix signal problems AV reciever

My setup is GTX-1080 —(HDMI)—> AV receiver (Integra DTR 70.6) —(HDMI)—> projector.

 

This setup can pass the signal through (as will be shown lower down). The issue i’m having is that the PC and receiver seem to get stuck in a cycle of aquiring eachother’s signal, as shown by this video:

 

I can break this cycle by unplugging the hdmi from the gpu, waiting a few seconds, and replugging it. The image will display o the screen shortly after.

Obviously, this is not an ideal solution. Any suggestions?

Can you try a different input port aside from the PC one?

 

Also, I've had a similar issue and a factory settings reset fixed it for me - different receiver though.

Aaaaand that seems to work. Going to do some digging to see if I can replicate the settings of this input (game) on to the PC input.

Receivers are as much of a mystery as printers are

Well this just proved true.

Was unable to get the pc port working by replicating settings from the game port, so I just swapped the physical ports in the software (assigned the game port to the pc input and pc port to game input) AND IT WORKS.
