************New iPads, New Macbooks, New iMac, New Mac Mini, New AppleWatch, New Airpods, NEW EVERYTHING Plus new Product: AirPower Charging Pad************

Apple-logo-grey-880x625.png

Sorry for the caps...

There've been rumours about this already but now we have some more info:

Disclaimer: This comes all from the same guy: Analyst Ming-Chi Kuo

Quote

TF International Securities' Ming-Chi Kuo issued a new report today, spanning the entire width of Apple's product line. In the note seen by AppleInsider, Kuo maintains his predictions about the iPhone lineup as he has for the last several months, plus the analyst expects far more coming.

here's some quick bits:

iPad: increases screen to 11 inch plus 12.9 refresh

iMac: possible 120Hz refresh rate display

Macbooks(finally!): rumoured 6 core mbp

Quote

i7-8750H processor with 32GB of RAM

Mac Mini: nothing known except it's gonna be there ^^

Apple Watch: larger screen: 40mm, enhanced health sensors

New Product: AirPower charging pad

Aaaand the iPhones:

Quote

The three iPhone models currently speculated to arrive this fall include two models with OLED screens measuring 6.5 inches and 5.8 inches, while a third is equipped with a 6.1-inch TFT LCD. Most sources now claim that all three will have the TrueDepth camera array and use Face ID, but the LCD model will be singled out as a cost-effective model while the OLED versions will have more premium pricing and specifications.

Please don't kill me but ye this analyst dude is the only source we have really, dunno much about his credibility either but a bunch of publications seem to pick up his stuff so there might be some truth to it.

Let's get excited for new Products and I hope some kick-ass Macbooks!

The Mac mini is really what I’m interested in. I always consider it until I open the specs back up and realize it’s just...not good. A quad core would be happily welcome

well you can get a quad core, if you go back to the 2013 model.

I remember when Steve made the "some people need cars and some need trucks" comparison. Jony Ive apparently thinks that people who need trucks want a translucent frosted glass truck with glass tires, soft gold suspension, automotive neon and a 3.5 gallon gas tank.

I’m guessing it’s a Freesync display because of their use of Radeon GPUs

It would have to be in order to make sense.

It certainly wouldn't be GSync, but I could see it having no Sync at all...simply a higher refresh rate.

If they can go to 120 Hz as standard, that would be amazing.  It would help set them apart from everyone else, and it would light a fire under other manufacturers to step up and do the same.  If they made it freesync, which honestly makes sense, that would be even more awesome.

I'm also curious about the GPU option in the laptop.  They've been grossly underwhelming for far too long, and if the display thing is true it would make sense to really step this up.

Solve your own audio issues  |  First Steps with RPi 3  |  Humidity & Condensation  |  Sleep & Hibernation  |  Overclocking RAM  |  Making Backups  |  Displays  |  4K / 8K / 16K / etc.  |  Do I need 80+ Platinum?

If you can read this you're using the wrong theme.  You can change it at the bottom.

And here I am, annoyed (or would be if I planned to upgrade any time soon) that there is no iGPU only 15".

Well they may as well at this point xD (and actually aren't there several iGPU-only options?)  but going forward, if they're going to continue to bother with a dGPU, I'd like them to at least make it a good one.

I suspect that they will at some point -- the main theory I've seen behind the lack of one is that integrated graphics couldn't run two external 5k displays.

I wonder if we'll see them switch to the integrated Intel/Vega thing

Uhm what? There's an iGPU on the 15" MacBook Pro.

yes, but there's a dGPU too.  He wants one without that.

The iMacs will be. If it’s the same with the MBP then that would be very lovely. Even for the Mac Mini.

I think that means it has both since you can't separate the igpu from the intel chip but they always come with the radeon

I doubt Apple will ever use the G series chips with Vega graphics on a single substrate since some of them have a TDP of 100W like this one. They'll probably use the i7-8750H and a Radeon GPU that uses GDDR5 instead of HBM2.

I mean they could downclock it and it'd still be an impressive chip. But yea chances seem to be really slim for that to happen.

There's an i5 wiith 65W TDP but I doubt it'll ever reach Apple's laptops because of their obsession with skinny, anorexic designs https://ark.intel.com/products/130408/Intel-Core-i5-8305G-Processor-with-Radeon-RX-Vega-M-GL-graphics-6M-Cache-up-to-3_80-GHz

It might as well be used by the Mac mini refresh but I think Apple is going to scrap off that one soon
