Frame Drops on Fortnite [HELP]

dawid1000

My friend just messaged me saying he is getting lower fps on fortnite then what he usually gets, I told him to scan his PC for viruses and there wasn't any, the usage of the CPU, GPU and RAM seemed fine so i told him to format his PC. After that, he installed only fortnite and tried it again. He had the same fps. He gets around 70 now and he used to get above 100 easy. So i reached out to you guys as i have no clue what the problem could be.

if he doesn't mind he could just lower textures to medium or high and lower effects too, I run medium textures and it looks pretty good imo

Still not sure why a sudden loss of frame drops all of the sudden though. I have had that happen before but what usually fixed it is putting the graphics settings to default and then putting them back to what they were before

did you use DDU (Display Driver Uninstaller) http://www.guru3d.com/files-details/display-driver-uninstaller-download.html to uninstall and then reinstall your graphics drivers?
