Does anyone know the best tool out there for finding a wire's gauge? Thanks for your help.

Instructions for frustration management:  

1) Sit at desk.   2) Repeatedly slam forehead against desk.

 

I never said I was smart, just smart enough to be dangerous.

I become too unsure of myself. Don't they make a round gauge that goes from 30 to 0 or something that is like that?

They do make wire gauges but as said you can check the side of the wire as they need to be labeled for certification and you can use a pair of calipers to check the diameter to then find out the AWG.
