Gear VR app wont launch.

So I decided to break out my gear VR and try it out, however when I plugged it in is prompted me to install the apps needed for it to work, however, now it will not do anything when I plug in the phone nothing happens. NADA.

I have a GS8+ running Android 8.0.

Okay just need a bit more info before I even know if I can help or not....

So did you install and open the Oculus VR app on the phone? Before actually plugging in you need to open the app so it installs the actual drivers

Also by nothing happens do you mean it goes black or just stay on the home screen?
