Am I doing something wrong?

So I've been fixing computers since I was 11 and I currently have about 10 years of experience with computers, but whenever I build a new pc for customers, everything clicks on my test bench. The thermals, the components, all of them are perfect, also everything goes through 6 hours of testing and benchmarking and when it gets to the customer, something is always wrong. Have you ever had these kinds of problems or am I really just unlucky?

That happens to me too, that's why I install a software like TeamViewer so when they mess something up I can directly access their PC.

I built a PC for my mate long time ago and it was fine (for a whole week) until my mate used it and whined that it was so slow, I checked it and there were some malware already installed.

Not sure what you mean by "wrong" though, my case was as stated above.

when you take it all off the testbench and put it into the case, do you rerun all the tests again to make sure it's all working?

Customers often cause a lot of problems on their end. Not really something that is avoidable. Should try to think of it as a positive if they come back to you.

Edit: Unless you mean immediately after they got the device. Then idk.

A hopeless customer will pay for anything though :P

Sorry, english is not my first language. What I meant is the testing desk that I have. It's basically a bench but the two terms interfere..

Also I test it briefly outside of the case and do the tests after finishing the build.

As in the parts are broken or it's slow? Given 30 min with a computer you'd be impressed what dumb people can do

That's an F in the profile pic
