The Mass Effect series would be a great start, except Andromeda, but 1, 2, and 3 are good.

Ni no Kuni 2 for example.

Some Koei Tecmo Games.

Final Fantasy XII, X/XII, XIII series, XV (in THAT Order!)

Metro Last Light- The game is intense, creepy (like really creepy) and fun as hell.

Nier Automata- This is magic. No other words to describe it, just pure magic. You'll run through every emotion before you finish it, then at the end it will punch you in the face and fist pump the air.

I like some of @fpo's suggestions ...

Doom (2016)
Dying Light
Mad Max (especially if you are playing in 4K as it is supposed to really take advantage of 4K)

As for anything else to suggest there are too many to mention. Go to YouTube and get informed on what is out there.

Back on Xbox 360 I explored EVERY dark corner and supernatural gets turned up to 11.

Get the redux maybe as it gets super cheap and comes with dlc missions.

Amnesia: The Dark Descent

Erie

Bathroom

SCP Containment Breach

Phobia

I hate these games, but if you enjoy scary games then you might want to give these a taste.

I couldn't have a good night sleep for a week because of these games.

I also suggest the Dark Souls games. they also play well on a controller. If you like difficult games with awesome atmosphere, they are amazing. ( I'd play # 1 and #3,  the second game is decent, but really not on the same level as the others )
