depends on price....but usually you can find 1080 for just a slight bit more usually less than 10% more for the same model so it's worth it imo.

If you're in the US this is defenetly the card to get right now:

If the 1070Ti costs $50 or less than the 1080, then you should get the 1070Ti. If they are within $50, get the 1080.

The 1080 is just 35€ more than the 1070ti, so 1080?

Same answer as every day when it's asked sometimes twice. 1070 ti is a better buy if it's anywhere close to the same price.

I would go for 1080 if the difference is just 35. Not only you get a better card but also re sale value later when you try to get rid of it. May I ask what models exactly? Maybe you are looking at a 1070 ti rog vs a 1080 mini

Theyre both GP104 chips. 1070ti has fewer active cores and slower RAM.

Is your rendering or editing software GPU accelerated? Does it require double precision or only single? Neither may benefit you much unless the software actually uses the GPU.

Welp, I think it uses the GPU since I would be using most of the Adobe Cloud software

If it is accelerated by FP32 GPU cores, then the 1080. The 1070ti has slower RAM so less throughput.

i have the gigabyte windforce 1080 in my system right now and it's a great card...no sag, not too loud, not too hot, good clocks out of the box, overclock fairly well (not a card for breaking world records obviously, but decent)

Thank you for the advice, I'll probably go with the 1080 then!
