The Dell G7 is currently $150 off at Dell's store. If you're looking for a gaming laptop in the $1200 price range I'd look at this as a serious contender

I seen it go as low as $1,000 on amazon and eBay. (During the 15% off, it would have been 900 if I applied coupon) but I chose not to get it. It's not 144 hz screen and it's a Max-Q GTX 1060.

 

Right now you can get a Acer predator Helios for 1,2k with (144 Hz, IPS panel, full GTX 1060)
