Clean Installation of NVIDIA Drivers?

KSP

Hi guys,

So I've been encountering a weird stuttering issue in some of my games and thought that new drivers may be the fix to my issues. I have new drivers available (398.36) and decided to go ahead with the installation. I've always just done an "Express Installation" option in the GeForce Experience software, but I clicked on "Custom Installation" and there is an option to "Perform a clean installation". I assume this is what I should do, but there is a little sidenote next to it saying that it will "restore all NVIDIA settings to the default value and remove any profiles you have created". What does this mean? Like. the OC profile I have saved in Precision XOC?

Thanks,

Riptide

Everything you modified in Nvidia Control Panel will be reset. 3rd party program like XOC/AB not affected.

You use Nvidia CP to change that? Then yes.

Use clean install if you have some problems with drivers. Otherwise just update existing ones.

If you want to clean up old Nvidia drivers from your system, you can use this tool. Install, run as admin, click "Select Old Drivers" and look what was marked in "Display adapters" section. Then you can uncheck other sections and click "delete package".

My monitor has pretty basic color adjustment features, so yes
