Thermaltake Core V1 PSU

Priority1

This is my first ITX build and I decided to go with Thermaltake V1 case. I went to mount the PSU and it was to small. I used pcpartpickers site and it said it would have no problems being used.

So I ask if you can help me to get proper power supply that will fit perfectly. Minimum 650 watts.

What are your specs? you probably don't need 650w, 550W would almost certainly be fine. The SeaSonic Focus+ Gold 550W model looks like a good option for you. I have the 650w and it's the best PSU I own

What PSU did you try to fit? Kitguru managed to fit a 19cm PSU into the case.

What are you powering? If it's below SLI 1080 Tis in terms of the power requirement, I seriously doubt you need anywhere close to 650W.

What are your system specs? 650W is about what you'd recommend for SLI 1070s, so you probably don't need that much power. Also, what PSU were you trying to fit in there? Unless it wasn't an ATX unit, it should fit in there perfectly fine unless it's a very large unit like an AX1600i.

Not that SLI 1070s is a configuration any sane person would run.

No, I do not. I count myself among them. I actually thought long and hard about RX 580 crossfire when I was planning my build

Why do people do this?

"I built PC... There were parts... They no fit... Derp derp... Now guess what I'm using!!"

Sorry OP, but the only info we have is what chassis you're using (Core V1).  Can you tell us ANYTHING else about your build that could help us:

1.  Figure out how your current PSU is "too small" and

2.  Why do you need 650W for an ITX build.

Great way to make a person feel welcomed on their first post on this website.

It was a small form factor PSU that would not fit in the case physically, it was to small

Intel i3 system

with a GeForce 1700 which calls for a minimum of a 500 W PSU

Assuming that "small form factor" is SFX and not Flex ATX, etc., I would Google "SFX to ATX adapter bracket".  You'll see results from $5 and up.  This allows you to mount any SFX PSU to an ATX case.

When the graphics card companies say "use a minimum 500W" (for example), they're taking into consideration worst case scenario and are speaking about power FOR THE ENTIRE SYSTEM.

For example 500W may be adequate if the PSU is a generic time-bomb from the ealy '00's and you have an overclocked i7 CPU.

If you have an i3 and a QUALITY PSU, then something like a SilverStone 450W, Corsair 450W or FSP 400W would be more than enough.

That's why it's important to clarify what PSU we're talking about and not just "a 500W PSU".

There's lots of fire bomb crap out there because there's no laws or anything to prevent the sale of such products and since end users can't "benchmark" a PSU beyond it lasting more than a year and not killing all of their hardware and burning down their house, people don't think to put much thought into their PSU outside of "wattage".

AFAIK corsair no longer sell any "trash" 750w PSUs, maybe an old green label CX? Still not horrendous, though good luck drawing 750w in an ITXcase without tripping OTP

The old RM750 (non X) that would shut down because the fan didn't kick in on time.  ;)
