Looking for camera for texture photos

Hi!

I'm a complete noob when it comes to camera. So basically, I know nothing. All I need is a simple camera without too many functions, easy to use, and that takes good pictures. I will mainly using it to take photos on a tripod of objects which I will use for modeling and texturing in Blender. It would be better if the camera can take clear high resolution photos, like 4096x4096. I'm ready to spend 400-500$ on it.

What are your suggestions?

Do you want technically accurate capture, or something that looks good? The two are not the same.

If I assume you want accuracy, pretty much any modern bigger sensor camera with changeable lenses will do. Combine it with a good fixed lens and lighting, and you're pretty good to go. The final step will require you to understand some basics about camera settings though. As you'll be on a tripod with a stationary subject, it'll make things easier to get the exposure and manual focus to get things just right.

Just get any DSLR with 50mm or longer prime lense.

Proper soft and shadow free lighting is much more important.
