Zotac 1060 AMP not working

System specs:

Intel Core i5 8600K, Asus Prime Z370-A, 2*8GB Corsair Vengeance, RealPower 600W PSU

What I know:

  • It seems to have stopped working months ago (after I took it on a approx. 3h ride in a car), then I thought it was the CPU, since other errors were occuring using Intel Graphics
  • With my new CPU, the monitor still stays black.
  • I haven't tested with an other PSU yet.
  • I've swapped the stock thermal paste to Thermal Grizzly.
  • It doesn't work in multiple slots.

What I want to figure out:

  •  What is causing the error?
  • Can I fix it?
  • Will Zotac's warranty cover it if I swap the TIM?

Thank you in advance for any help.

Lenny

Did you took your whole system on a car ride? With your graphics card plugged in to the motherboard?

OK, that's a good thing. Otherwise you should probably have damaged the PCIe slot due to the weight of the card and the bumps during your car ride.

Chances are low that it is your CPU.

Do you have a second PSU that you can try?

What kind of issues are you referring to?

I could take it to a friend to try it in his system

That’s indeed one way to troubleshoot the power supply. If you don’t encounter any problems with your friend’s PSU, then you’ll have a faulty PSU on your hands.

Some of my memory wasn't recognized, seemed to be a defect memory channel

Also I just measured voltages at my PCIe 6-Pin power plug and they were ranging from anywhere between 2,2V and 5,5V.

The pins should be +12 V or 0 V (ground). If the wire going in is yellow, the corresponding pin should be +12 V. If black, 0 V.
