Screen looking cutout

Hi guys, my screen's looking like it's too big. My screen should be 1080p but when i set it to 1080p it cuts out a large part of the screen. 

What can i do?

What monitor do you have? What exact setting are you changing to 1080p?

I'm changing the resolution, and it's really not a screen but a TV i took, the model number is PS24L 121.
