(Not) The End of DirectX

Tomatodude95

Scott Michaud wrote a short article over on PcPerspective about the future of DirectX. It's based on an Interview of Heise.de, a German news site, with the Vice President of AMD, where he talks about the future of DirectX as well as the future of their Never-Settle Bundles.

On the other hand, there is an article on Neowin.net, where Microsoft says that they won't shut down DirectX just yet.

What do you guys think? Will there be a DirectX 12 or will we move away from it?

AMD's vice president says there will be no DX12, that doesn't mean that there will be no new DX, it simply means that it will not be called DX12.

A rumor cropped up a few weeks ago saying that the new DX version will be called DX Blue and that it's coming with the new refresh of windows 8.
