What cause to psu cable to melt

Go to solution Solved by minibois,

Ultimately, because something happened that shouldn't have happens, it was a bad unit, or both.

I am not an electrician, but I think it is caused by too much current on the wire (or a short circuit)

Oh, you should probably never use this PSU again and hope it didn't take any more hardware with it.

Can some one tell why my pc power supply cable is melt and what cause it ?

overcurrent

if it was this end

iec-c13-power-cords.jpg

it's because the wires inside are too thin for the current the PSU draws

and if it was this end (might differ)

it's because the wires inside the outlet are too thin

No, because Topic is dumb.

How about a title, that tells you something about the issue you have?

And what are you talking about?!

An ST-506 Drive??

A bit more details (or photos) would be helpful...
