How to get back deleted Whatsapp contact?

I long pressed a whatsapp contact in whatsapp and tapped the trash icon and deleted it. The number is still in my phone contact. But is no longer showing up in my Whatsapp. How do I get it back?

Can you re-create the contact in Whatsapp using the information from your phone contact?

Go to your Whatsapp contact list > menu > refresh. That should sync it back.
