Color banding driving me nuts

Hi,

 

I've bought an AOC 2770PF gaming monitor and the color banding is driving me crazy. It seems to be similar with all sources (other cables and input devices).

 

I have tried the following (I know someone will ask):

- Fresh Windows install

- Installed all driver and color profiles for the monitor

- Latest Nvidia drivers (Running GTX970)

- Adjusted colors, gamma, brightness etc and the Nvidia control panel and on screen itself

- Different cables etc

- Color is on 32bit 8 bpc (have played around with those settings to no avail)

 

Is the below normal, even for a fairly budget monitor? Or should I return it?
