But it's not bad for a bundle, the i7 8700k with that same board is like $40 cheaper.

That's not a real budget though...

Either way you should be able to get a better PC with ease.

Do you only have a 1080p 60hz monitor? Left room for either an 8 core R7 2700/X or any 240mm AIO.

I mainly want the 8086k because of it being limited and the 5GHZ boost

I have 2 1080p 60HZ Monitors

And yes the AIO is in there the H100i

But the 1070Ti is nice. How much more would it be for the Asus Strix?

Then buy the PC I listed with this 1080p 144hz VA display and. Still ends up with a better GPU, and X470 gets you storeMI, to make that 2TB drive as fast as an SSD after some initial loads.

The 8086K is literally just an 8700K, it's a cash grab meme from intel, like the old FX 9590 was from AMD. Most 8700Ks should hit the same clock speeds. For $30 w/e I guess, not too bad maybe, though they could have at least soldered it.

you'll have to skimp on the gpu or monitor for that, it's not worth the extra.

pushing an 8600k or 8700k a few hundred mhz isn't gonna help a 1070 match a 1080 in performance, the 1080 will be much better for higher refresh rates.

Anything but an 8700K is going to "bottleneck" if high fps is the goal, since you can just scale down the GPU to boost the fps.

That is why the original GPU is the 1060 (or a 1070 if i can find a deal) so if i want to upgrade in the future i can just upgrade the GPU and not the CPU and GPU. Because the i7

The 1070 is at a terrible price point imo.  you are better off saving some $ and getting a 1060 or dropping a little more $ and getting a 1070Ti.
