Hello, I am looking for the best Gaming Headsets for the Rainbow Six Siege (I play it the most) and sometimes PUBG.

 

1. HyperX Cloud Alpha

2. SteelSeries Arctis 5

3. Sennheiser GSP 300

4. Beyerdynamic DT 770 PRO

5. Audio Technica ATH-MX30X

6. Audio Technica ATH-MX40X

 

Aim: I am looking for the headphone which can help me detect the direction of enemies and give me directional sound for their footsteps/firing.

 

Budget: $200 around.

 

Motherboard: Asus Maximus Hero VII (Seven).

 

Please recommend me the best.

I'm Using m50x and they are very reliable and still going strong with excellent sound quality, Cant speak for the m40x and m30x but overall impression of audiotechnica is very positive !

Why Is it windows 10 not 9?

I've heard that m40x or m50x aren't comfirtable?

They are a lot more harsh then my Hyper X cloud IIs and they pinch the tops of my ears. I wouldn't recommend the M50X for gaming. The cloud IIs or revolvers are both solid choices with mics. Except they have a stupid USB dongle which adds in a ton of hiss and static

Must admit my m50x are incredibly comfortable, have been at my desk wearing them all day today and barely notice them. I use a shitty lavalier mic i got on ebay but if you were to get m50x's Then you could spend the money you've saved on an antlion modmic as these are brilliant mics to be paired with non headset headphones :)

I play PUBG, CSGO, TF2, Fortnite and mirrors edge. Also OSU :) I used to do music tech in college which i used these headphones for mixing audio for 2 years and they held up really well :) Also use them when travelling and obviously when im at home as well :)

Okay PUBG is a game which requires directional sound. Are you able to use your headphone that is m50x are able to make you know the direction of enemy (while you are in a building/house or nearby to the home/building)?

 

Since, I play Rainbow Six Siege and the area of gameplay in Rainbow Six Siege is relatively small but it's directional sound gameplay is much bigger than PUBGs.

Yeah absolutely :) I can find out where enemies are above below and around me and its really clear and surprisingly precise :)

Im not sure how things work for india but maybe if you got some on amazon and tried them then you can return them straight after if you dont like them ? its a shame audiotechnica doesnt have any stores to try them out at :(

Hmm they are about $130 where I live. Then I would take the M40X with a Brainwavz Angled Pads swap.

ATH-M series have little to no soundstage. I would recommend the ATH-AD or ATH-A series instead.
