Some of your links are giving my malwarebytes a warning.

Well that's... interesting. They're all just Amazon links...

Says it's all riskware.  xD

Hmm... I wonder if there's an issue with geni.us right now (the link shortener we use).

Do you have any adjusted settings in MWB? Have you noticed this notification with other link shorterers eg. bit.ly?

This is a pretty nice round up. I was looking for a mic setup since my old webcam died.

I'll probably aim for the $86 XLR setup.

I'm using a Sony lavalier microphone with a extension cable to make the cable longer

18$ pretty much everywhere: https://www.amazon.com/Sony-ECMCS3-Omnidirectional-Stereo-Microphone/dp/B0058MJX4O

 or https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/799471-REG/Sony_ECMCS3_ECM_CS3_Tie_Clip_Microphone.html

Very good quality, good stereo separation, but I would guess it would pick up the keys if your keyboard is too loud.

What's with the two different thumbnails for this video?

It doesn't look like a re-upload since they both linked to the same video ID, but I'm really not sure why I got two different thumbnails loading the YouTube homepage different times.

Was this some kind of A/B test for which color gets more clicks?

Didn't get as many views as expected so we changed it up a bit - brighter backgrounds sometimes help, the dark blue kinda just made it a dark blob lol.

Linus should do a follow up on this mic thing with some additional hardware.  Mics/DAC's weather USB or 3.5mm all emit/pickup emi/ground loop interference and that is often times a lot of the hissing/crackling going in/out of this eq weather its cheap or expensive.  There's two things that drastically can help any gamer/audio enthusiest or studio technician working with mics/audio.  Ones for cleaning USB ground loop interference and one is for inline 3.5mm mic/headphone.

USB to USB Isolator

3.5mm noise isolator

Pass it along to him admin if you see it, would be interesting to see him test it and get similar results. But its something a lot more gamers and enthusiasts should become aware of.

PlayStation Eye: 3.50-8 USD

Beats all of the options cheaper than the Blue.

Also, the Blue Snowflake.

XLR setup 1 (XM8500) - $63.55
Behringer UM2 - $29.99 on Amazon: http://geni.us/lqgw
Stand - $8.58 on Amazon: http://geni.us/BEejw7M
XLR Cable - $5 on Amazon: http://geni.us/3Af3uUy
XM8500 - $19.98 on Amazon: http://geni.us/BfH5

So I bought this setup for a better sound when talking. But it seems this setup doesn't like me!!

I don't hear anything I say but in the sound settings, I can see that I talk (bouncing green). I also hear the sounds and talk of other people through my Creative labs 2.1 speaker set.

When I use teamspeak 3 people on the other side can hear me AND a lot of noise as well. I think it is in the settings of TS, but because I can't hear myself through the speakers I guess I have to solve that problem first....

Anyone ideas? Settings, a check mark somewhere to uncheck.........

I plugged the Behringer to the computer with the USB cable. The microphone to the Behringer UM2 WITH xlr cable.

And ofc when you post and ask for help, you find the answer yourself.

I went to config, sounds. Go to the record tabs. Right click on the mic and click on setup (not the right word but I am Dutch). Go to the listen tab

Place a check mark next to : listen to this device. Select the speakers and done.

I hope it helps someone.....
