Access terminal from browser?

So I want to setup my Linux server so that you go to x domain and will have access to the terminal even when you are on another network. Does anyone know how to do this?

Thx

You don't. You use a VPN to connect to your local network, then you SSH in via Putty using the IP address.

https://putty.org/

(or use linux/Mac terminals if you're on those systems using ssh@$IP-address)

If you want to be able to access it via a browser, you could run a terminal emulator - keep in mind you just cant do advanced things such as ssh tunneling. e.g https://github.com/stuicey/SSHy

What do you mean by "domain"? When you say terminal, do you mean shell/bash access or desktop access?

SSH properly secured is as good as a VPN, if you're worried about random port scans / attacks just change the port.

Yeah.. I don't get why you don't just use SSH.

SSH can do a lot of things and when configured properly (private key pair etc, there is also brute force protection methods) It is as secure as VPN.

You can export graphical sessions over it, you can forward ports and create tunnels. all sorts of stuff. It's kind of a remote system swiss army knife.
