Color/Temperature changing white LED strip. Do these exist?

Obviously there are RGB LED strips that you can change to nearly whatever color you want. Is there a light strip that allows you to change from 1900K white light to like 5500K white light? I don't want just a strip that I can dim, I want to be able to change the color of the light. I also don't need/want RGB. I'm just interested in white.

I know the Phillips Hue light strips can do this but they can also do like every other color and require an expensive hub and wifi connectivity. All those things makes the Hue strips extremely expensive. I'd really just like a strip that works with a simple remote.

If that doesn't exist, how hard would it be to make my own strip? I would probably do two strips running along side each other. One strip would be a more blue-white led strip and the other would be a more yellow-white LED strip. I think a remote with two sliders to dim the two strips would let me make whatever temperature of white I want. Is this doable for less than the cost of a Phillips Hue setup? Any links to any helpful information would be super appreciated.

What you are looking for are color temperature adjustable LED strips such as these what you can configure for these kinds of setups are two dimmer modules or a color temperature based controller to adjust the blue and yellow tones of the two colors.

Wow! Thanks! I found a different strip that has a large color range, is water proof and looks to be very bright.

Will that work with the remote you linked?

And I need a power supply right? Which one would work? I don't really have a clue how to know what will and won't work together. My dad is pretty good with electronics and knows how to solder so If you can tell me what I need to buy, I'm sure my dad and I can figure out how to make it work.

Note the voltage the one you have has the same color range but is rated for 24V operation. The controller will work wither either 12V or 24V operation but for the selected set of lights you must get a regulated 24V supply that is capable of powering the full 16ft of lights if you plan to use all of it. It would come to around 150W or so of total power drawn by the lights.

This is what I would recommend, Meanwell makes good quality power supplies.

Thank you. Maybe I don't need lights that bright. What power supply would you recommend for the strip you suggested?

That one having a lower density of LED's and running on 12V it would only need about half the total power of around 72W.

You can run it off of a 12V rail of a regular ATX PSU or get a dedicated power supply or brick for it like these.
