mousepad Which mousepad

I know this is stupid, and i could watch hours worth of videos on this topic, but ima very undecisive person, I need a new mousepad the one i have is too bid, i have a small desk, i have a steelseries qck+, i was stupid and thought the + meant smoother less friction surface not size, Was wondering if i should get a corsair MM600 or a Roccat Alumic, i see they were made around 2011, were there any newer mousepads? and is metal vs cloth material really worth the extra 10-20$, i recently got a Roccat kone pure owl eye and want something a little smoother and with less friction than the QCK

Eh mouse pad material is all about what your use too. I prefer cloth, Metal tends to be shitty and hurts performance overall for me. But i use a G502 mouse and not a Roccat.2

How would metal hurt performance? I thought it was supposed to have less friction than cloth

Less friction is not always a good thing. Honestly its hard to really put that much effort unless your top % in games you play FPS, just play with whichever you can enjoy long term and clean.

I went from a roccat raivo to a qck+, and from a kone xtd to a g502.

 

I find the hard mousepads easier to move around but less accurate. The other thing that I noticed is that stuff gets on the hard one more that interferes with tracking, however it is easier to clean.

 

I would personally say go for a regular qck or a mini, or a special edition if you want something a bit nicer. If you want a hard one, I can't imagine a metal one being all that nice (and I've heard that the surface becomes scratched in less than a year). That being said I've never tried one.

Less friction == faster speeds.

Less friction == harder to control.

Corsair MM300 maybe? It's still gonna be pretty similar to the qck.

Something like the roccat hiro 3d is probably perfect for you, but it's expensive. Take your pick.
