Political columnist and Fox News commentator Charles Krauthammer given weeks to live

This is an odd one for me, I don't typically respect or care about any kind of celebrity or politician, yet this man has gained my respect ever so slowly over the years. 

I have always watched a lot of CNN and fox news (mostly the opposite of who's in 'power') and despite hating most of all the pundits, I really grew to like him. My exposure to him was mostly as a pundit, not his opinion pieces so much. 

I probably listened to him hundreds of times over the years and never once did I hear him yell or over talk someone he was debating.
While everyone on reddit is shitting on him for selling the iraq war like nearly all right wingers and a lot of leftist did at the time, I remember him as one of the last people who didn't seem to treat politics with a sense of "everyone but me is morally unjust" like we see so much of now when it comes to those in political media. 

Even as a guy who's pretty 'right leaning' these days since anything right of absolute left is somehow "alt right", I mostly disagreed with anything and everything he argued, as I would be what'd you call a liberal until recently where being a traditional leftist makes you a nazi or something because you're not left enough. There's a lot of talk about his amazing life as a paralyzed man, neck down I think (sean hannity once asked him to stand up in front of a crowd, even fox news hosts seemed not to know) but I appreciated him not for what he overcame, but him as a normal man in politics.

I went from hating him to appreciating him well before I knew about his condition. 
 

I think it strikes me how few people like Krauthammer are left in not only politics as presented in the media, but as people in general.

I wish to one day be able to face death in this way, with his monotone, factual, disinterested voice I read this statement in.

Workstation(desk)- 3770k, 970 reference, 16GB of some crucial memory, a motherboard of some kind I don't remember, Micomsoft SC-512N1-L/DVI, CM Storm Trooper (It's got a handle, can you handle that?), 240mm Asetek based AIO, Crucial M550 256GB (upgrade soon), some hard drives, disc drives, and hot swap bays

Screens- 3  ASUS VN248H-P IPS 1080p screens mounted on a stand, some old tv on the wall above it. 

Stuff- Epicgear defiant (solderless swappable switches), g600, moutned mic and other stuff. 

Laptop docking area- 2 1440p korean monitors mounted, one AHVA matte, one samsung PLS gloss (very annoying, yes). Trashy Razer blackwidow chroma...I mean like the J key doesn't click anymore. I got a model M i use on it to, but its time for a new keyboard. Some edgy Utechsmart mouse similar to g600. Hooked to laptop dock for both of my dell precision laptops. (not only docking area)

Shelf- i7-2600 non-k (has vt-d), 380t, some ASUS sandy itx board, intel quad nic. Currently hosts shared files, setting up as pfsense box in VM. Also acts as spare gaming PC with a 580 or whatever someone brings. Hooked into laptop dock area via usb switch

This man also gained great repsect from me, not because i side with him  but because of the reasons you mentioned before, about being civil and not an outright monkey.

 

I hope his lives out the rest of his life fufillingly

 

Its god's responsibility to look after him now

AMEN, I relish a good factual well reasoned calmheaded debate!
