Can i fit a 212X in a Corsiar Carbide 100R

I have a I7 7500 with a default intel cooler. I really want to get a air cooler so that my cpu runs cooler and makes less noise.  I have chosen the 212X and I am scared that It wont fit in my case. I have some measurements and it is very close. Does anyone know if a 212X will fit in a Carbide 100R?

Doesnt look like it. The 100R has a max CPU cooler height of 150mm while the 212X is 158mm according to spec sheets on Newegg.

Best option IMO would be the Cryorig H7. I have one in an 100R right now and have no issues with it.

It fits fine. The case specification doesn't account for the side panel bump. https://pcpartpicker.com/builds/by_part/JwVBD3#h=3,430

 

@The_legend100 What are your temps? Have you tried lowering fan speeds?
