wait what its cheaper? tf it wasnt cheaper a day ago!!

On PCPP armor is cheapest at $750 and the amp is at $785 along with the others.

also i dont care how loud it is, i just dont want it fucking not working in a year or so bcuz of heat issues. (that happend to my laptops dedicated gpu :I)

If you run the armor at max fan speeds it should be OK at stock, which will be like 1800 mhz in games. You might lose out on 5-10% extra FPS you could get with ocing on a better cooler.

The difference is only $35 compared to a $750 card though.... A drop in the bucket if you ask me.

4K - Depends what games - still needs good gpu

if you plan to overclock - 8600k

if you don't plan to overclock - 8400

For 4K gaming you want something similar to or above the build in my signature

Gotta save up more, 4K gaming is a real investment, even without the cost of a 4K display.

doesnt a higher res bottleneck the cpu? so logicly a 8700K and a 8600K would be somewhere in the same neighborhood?

True, but 1070ti and would do it for 4k.  Or, maybe OP should wait for the next Nvidia cards to drop.  I have my doubts on price to performance, though.

if its gonna launch in august sure id wait, but in december lol nope

I mean even a fury, fury x, 980ti, and a few other older cards can do 4k in your budget.  Just don't expect to up the settings.  Another thing you might be able to do is look at EVGA's b stock for a higher tier card.

b stock?

Are they more expensive than the new retail versions of that exact model?  Also, EVGA is really good in terms of servicing their own parts, especially their GPUs.  So, while there might be cosmetic issues there's really no other issue.

yeah true...but their more expensive on the same gpu but not the same manufacturer. So whats the point?

Always go for more RAM - CPU isn't a huge factor at 4K but 8GB of RAM won't be nearly enough

so if 6 core 4.something ghz with 8gb of ram is worse then 6 core at 3.9 with 16gb of ram???

Yes definitely. Anything with a budget above $900 in 2018 has no excuse to be using 8GB of RAM

16GB definitely, the 8600K isn't that much of an upgrade over the 8400 especially if it has only half the RAM to work with. Above 1080p 8GB of RAM is really not enough anymore

Ugh okay then. So how about this, make a build with a 1080 ti and 16 gigs of ram but with an 8600K or if you can, something even better
